Bach Flower Consult
:The name comes from Dr. Edward Bach (1886 – 1936) who discovered this healing method at the beginning of the last century. For more than 70 years these flower essences have proved useful for children as well as adults for all kinds of emotional imbalances..Before his death Dr. Bach identified 38 flowers and how their essences helped balance the imbalance of emotions we experience.
Bach believed that illness was the result of a conflict between the purposes of the soul and the personality's actions and outlook. This internal war, according to Bach, leads to negative moods and to "energy blocking", thought to cause a lack of "harmony", thus leading to physical diseases. Bach's remedies focus on treatment of the patient's personality, which he believed to be the ultimate root cause of disease. This theory that illness is a result of a conflict aligns with what we have come to know/understand about dis-ease and conflict/shock/trauma with the development of the field of German New Medicine in the last 20-25 years.
Dr. Bach was not a fly-by-night quack new-age doctor but was a bacteriologist, a surgeon, and a homeopath. He studied medicine at the University College Hospital in London and obtained a Diploma of Public Health from Cambridge.. He was influenced heavily by the homeopathic work of Samuel Hahnemann and developed seven bacterial nosodes known as the seven Bach nosodes based on the variable bowel bacterial flora associated with persons of different homeopathic constitutional types.
At the age of 43 he began studying the healing frequencies of plants and their energetic role in healing the moods, emotions, and personality of the person. He idenitfied 38 different flowers and their effects on the healing process before his death and these have stood the test of time over the last 80+ years.
How do they work
Bach Flower Essences have the quality and ability to change a negative emotion into a positive one. Negative emotions are not suppressed but turned into the opposite positive emotional state.
What are the 38 Bach Flowers?
The 38 Bach flowers are divided into 7 subcategories to address specific categories of emotions identified by Bach. These are:uncertainty, lonliness, fear, vulnerability to influence, despondency and despair, disinterest in life , over-care of others,
The study of these 38 flowers is often a lifetime study and it is about getting to know each individual and creating a custom blend for their needs during the moment of stress/trauma. Remey blends therefore are CUSTOM MADE for every single client and no two remedies are the same.
We offer these custom Bach blends upon consultation. While there is no charge for the remedy itself, the consultation is $60. We will create your custom blend and ship it to you. Please use as directed from your consultation.
About Us and Flower Essences:
While I certainly credit Dr. Bach for his revolutionary work and laying the foundation for this field of study, we now know and understand much more about flower essence (or all plant essence/energy) and how plant based vibrations affect the human body and can change chaos in to productive health. Therefore, in these consults, while they are largely Bach Flower focused, I have access to literally hundreds of flower essences and therefore the blend I create for each client based on their consultation is unparalelled.
