HP FAQ
ADMINISTRATION
1. Will babies choke on the pills if they are 1-5 months of age. Not usually as they dissolve very easily. Most babies will roll them around quite easily. If you are concerned you may dissolve them in a tsp of water and give 1/2 tsp as the dose
2. what do I do if the baby spits them out? if they fall out on the floor right away, throw away immediately repeat dose. if they are just spitting it out sort of with their tongue as it dissolves, gently just reinsert into babys mouth.
3. how long do they have to be in the mouth to be effective? half a minute is fine. chewing is fine. if they swallow immediately you may repeat the dose. - we do encourage a bit of natural dissolving.
4. which is the best method of administration, water or direct? Either is fine.
5. what do we do if our child is currently on other homeopathic remeides for other conditions? Please consult with your HP supervisor for specifics as we may need to modify the program esp if child is on a constitutional remedy. You can alternate remedies every two weeks or you can suspend one while you do another.
6. What is classed as too sick to take HP remedies? If a child needs treatment such as a cold remedy or teething then stop HP and resume after first treatment finishes.
7. Do we stop if our child has a runny nose? If is mild it is ok to continue. If in doubt wait a week or two tho.
8. Do we stop if our child has a slight cough? If it is mild it is ok to continue. If in downt then wait.
9. Does HP produce titers? No. not typically. It does not cause antibodies. However it will likely ward off the dis-ease if they are exposed - the exposure itself may perhaps cause antibodies but it would not be from HP - however titers would show if there was exposure even if the body didn't show symptoms.
10. What is the minimum time to wait to have food or drink after taking remedy ? 20-30 min.
11. Is breast milk ok to take with remedies? Experts say no. Remedy failures have been noted when in BF babies feeding immediately after dosing, wait 20-30 min
12. Is water ok to take with remedies? Preferably not. If you need to dissolve in water the water becomes the whole remedy. If child wants water after remedy then wait 20 min.
13. Is it safe to use during pregnancy? In pregnancy the child is taking the remedy NOT the mother.
14. Will other medications/drugs (western or natural) affect the HP remedies? Possibly. If other meds must be given then take the two as far apart as possible.
15. How can I tell if my child is covered? There is no definitive way to know. Absence of dis-ease is the only "proof"
16. What happens if my child eats the whole bottle? There is no major known concern.
17. What do I do if my child throws up 5-10 min after taking the remedy? If it is a short time, repeat dose. If it is 20-30 min likely you do not need to repeat the dose.
18. If the remedy pills fall on the ground can I pick them up and still use them? Not recommended
19. I am breast feeding, if I take the remedy will the child become immunized by having my breastmilk? Experts disagree on this but if you want to maximize effect then give each individual a dose
20. When I have had homeopathic remedies before I was given drops. You are giving me tablets/pills...do they work the same? Yes.
21. Is the dose 1 or two pills? In prophylaxis - Either. It is the number of times you take it that creates the effectiveness.

23. Can I put them in the fridge? better not to, but if you live in extremely hot climate then you may. If so, wrap package in store in vegetable crisper.

28. What is the best way to travel with them when travelling by plane? Main luggage underneath your feet. Breif scanning will not harm them.
REACTIONS
29. How do you know if symptoms are a reaction to the remedy or just coincidence? about 2% of the time brief reactions occur. Only hindsight tells you. If they continually get worse over 3-4 days it is typically something else. Reactions typically last 1-2 days if they do occur.
30. What kinds of things can occur in a reaction? mild symptoms proving the remedy. It should subside quickly if it is of concern after 24-48 hours please reach out to your HP supervisor
31. Can a reaction occur 2-3 days after administration? see number 29
32? Can I antidote the HP remedies if the reaction is too strong? Typically it is not recomended to antidote but allow child to work through it. Wait one month before dosing again. To antidote, allow child to simply sniff the remedy from the bottle.
THE MAIN PROGRAM
33. What is meant by "gaps" in the program? Months 1-10 no gaps - child gets a dose each month. From month 11 on there may be gaps. Gaps are there to allow catch up if programs started late or other remedies are added.

35. Is there any way to speed up the program to get coverage of all dis-eases in a quicker amount of time? In some cases, Ignore single doses of 200 remedies....but in children younger than 12 months please consult with our office for specific detials and discussion.
36. Do I start from the top of the Status Sheet, or at the age of my child as shown on the program? Always start at the top unless otherwise directed

43. Do I stop the program if my child contracts the illness? If the child contracts ANY illness - STOP - then wait 1-2 weeks then resume.
44. Do I continue with the later doses if my child has already contracted the illness earlier in the program? You can if you want - but continuing will not do harm either.
45. How quickly is my child protected once I start the program? Immediately there is a level of protection but the level of protection increases and hold when you give the doses as recommended.
46. How long does protection last? We do not know the answer to this in either HP or in traditional vaccination.and there are a variety of factors that determine outcome. Things like diet, stress, traumas all effect outcome. Trauma is the number one cause of loss of effectiveness. If trauma is experienced you may want to redo the program, please consult with your HP practitioner. If the entire 6 year program is given and completed it is expected that efficacy is around 10 years.
